Joshi and Jigna Desai.  Urbana: University of Illinois Press, 2013. 165-189.  Based on Vu’s dissertation, this article shows the most extensive scholarship on Houston’s Vietnamese.  It is somewhat wide-ranging and discusses the agency of Vietnamese refugees and immigrants regarding racialization, nationalism, spatiality, and economic status.
